Battle Bank, N.A. is seeking a highly detail-oriented, analytical and organized individual with strong problem-solving skills who will join the team in the Reconciliation Analyst Senior role. The Reconciliation Analyst Senior is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of operational functions by performing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts. This role plays a critical part in identifying discrepancies, investigating issues, and ensuring timely resolutions to support accurate reporting.
The Reconciliation Analyst Senior will report directly to the Head of Banking Operations as a member of the Operations team. This is a full-time position with a starting pay range of $65,000 to $85,000 depending on experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of multiple accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
- Collaborate with internal departments to research and correct reconciliation issues.
- Prepare journal entries and adjustments as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested data.
- Investigate and resolve all IRS CP2100 (B-Notices) files.
- Investigate and resolve all W-8 recertifications.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform Core System configuration changes (e.g. Rate changes).
- Investigate and correct client year-end tax forms as needed.
- Investigate, prepare and report unclaimed properties to the various state governments.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or 5+ years of experience in bank reconciliations; general ledger accounting, or financial analysis. Experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred. Preferred experience with The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators and multi-state dormancy laws.
Language Ability: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Articulate and effectively relay information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and external vendors.
Mathematical Ability: Competent in mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, incorporating whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Accurately compute rates, rations, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This position requires regular attendance in our office located in Suffolk County, NY. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment is fast-paced, and heavily reliant on technology. Individuals must be comfortable with computer systems, email, web-based applications, and a paperless environment.
