Battle Financial, Inc. is building Battle Bank, N.A. (in organization) as a next-generation branchless, direct bank to help savvy consumers rid themselves of their existing banking institutions that continue to offer little to no value in their financial relationships.  The bank’s mission will be to revolutionize banking, as we believe clients deserve intuitive banking, high yields, access to global markets and premium service.


Global Markets is an integral part of the Battle Bank promise to deliver greater access for clients. This division will offer clients the opportunity to buy, sell, take delivery of, borrow against, and store precious metals, open FDIC-insured deposit accounts and certificates of deposit denominated in a variety of foreign currencies, complete personal and commercial foreign exchange transactions, and purchase principal protected certificates of deposit.  The Global Markets products will be delivered seamlessly utilizing Temenos Infinity for client interactions, and Temenos Transact for operations, middle office, and the trading and sales desks.


The Global Markets Operations team includes Middle and Back Office functions which supports all relevant products and associated trading. The team manages all facets of the Global Markets client and counterparty onboarding, data maintenance within the various operating systems, trade and payment settlement, reconciliation, and other related responsibilities.


Battle Bank, NA is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and entrepreneurial individual to serve as the Director of Global Markets Operations. The person in this position will own and oversee all day-to-day operations of Battle Bank Global Markets and share responsibility in the design and execution of the division’s strategic plan. Once Battle Bank, NA moves into the production environment, additional roles and responsibilities could emerge.


This is a full-time position, with a pay range of $120,000 to $150,000, depending on experience. Battle Bank, N.A. offers a generous PTO policy, health, dental and vision insurance, term life AD&D insurance and employer contributions to a 401(K) plan.

Summary of Job Duties:

  • User Acceptance Testing for core operating system deployment into the production environment.
  • Delivering seamless and efficient operational support as well as client onboarding, data management, report management, and associated quality control within the Temenos Transact platform.
  • Responsible for confirmation, reconciliation, settlement, and clearing of all foreign currency and precious metals trades.
  • Process, clear, and reconcile all Global Markets related money movement.
  • Oversee and perform all Middle and Back Office tasks as well as all start of day and end of day processes and associated reporting.
  • Execution of regulatory requirements and corporate policies for Battle Bank Global Markets, which includes regulatory reporting and data governance.
  • Continually adapting, simplifying, optimizing, and implementing to the needs of the business, while managing the cost base and other financial commitments.
  • Representing Global Markets on various corporate level steering committees and collaborating closely with other critical teams such as Sales, Compliance/Risk, Technology, Finance, Legal, and Human Resources.
  • Collaborating with Battle Bank executives and all levels of management to align priorities and expectations across the division and organization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within Global Markets and related areas to facilitate the timely coordination of work and problem resolution.
  • Take an active or lead role in projects impacting Battle Bank Global Markets or in support of other lines of business, while balancing other responsibilities accordingly.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all business, regulatory and client deliverables across all Global Markets products.


  • Leading and developing a multi-faceted high performing team while casting an effective leadership shadow through actions, coaching, educating, and training.
  • Focusing on client outcomes, problem solving, cooperating and communicating with the rest of the organization to achieve team and shared corporate goals.
  • Assessing and improving operational workflow design and implementation while leveraging technology to enhance productivity and automation as well as optimizing services, costs, and risk reduction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively present information to senior management, staff, public groups, Board of Directors, and regulators.
  • Collaborative and active ongoing engagement with stakeholders including business partners, regulators, and auditors to ensure integrated cohesive results.
  • Validation of policy and procedure documentation according to new system implementation, including process flows and desktop procedures.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and updating regulatory documentation which includes internal control testing and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure identified issues are resolved and communicated timely to the line of business and escalate to senior management when applicable.
  • Managing third party service and/or solution provider(s) relationships as applicable.
  • Regularly reviewing the performance of direct reports and providing timely, actionable performance feedback; holding individuals accountable for progress against feedback and achieving results.
  • Strong decision making, analytical and investigative abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to look critically at a problem and propose solutions to achieve outcomes.
  • Experience in driving change management while overseeing multiple complex and resource constrained projects with tight deadlines.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years’ experience in banking or capital markets operations (Foreign Exchange or other trading desk environment strongly preferred).
  • 10+ years’ prior management experience required with the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a team to deliver results.
  • Extensive experience with the Temenos Transact or Temenos T24 platform.
  • Deep operational expertise and experience related to capital markets products (namely foreign currencies), operational and market risk, industry best practices, technology/operational platforms, regulatory regimes, etc.
  • Strong communication and presentations skills.
  • Bachelor‘s degree in Business or equivalent experience required.

Language Ability

Read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries while maintaining strict confidentiality. Make persuasive presentations on complex topics to management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Reasoning Ability

Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

This is a remote/hybrid position. Candidates must be willing to periodically come into an office located in St. Louis, MO.
