Battle Financial, Inc. is building Battle Bank, N.A. (in organization) as a next-generation branchless, direct bank to help savvy consumers rid themselves of their existing banking institutions that continue to offer little to no value in their financial relationships. The bank’s mission will be to revolutionize banking, as we believe clients deserve intuitive banking, high yields, access to global markets and premium service.

 

Battle Bank, N.A. is seeking an tech-savvy, experienced, and knowledgeable individual who will be responsible for configuring and managing our systems and infrastructure, which is primarily cloud based. This individual will be responsible for creating and implementing endpoint protection policies, as well as performing access reviews to ensure the security of our systems and data. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for assisting end users with technical issues and providing support as needed.

 

The Senior Systems Administrator will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer. This is a full-time position, with a pay range of $95,000 to $125,000, depending on experience. Battle Bank, N.A. offers a generous PTO policy, health, dental and vision insurance, term life AD&D insurance and employer contributions to a 401(K) plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Configure and manage laptops, servers, and network devices

  • Create and implement endpoint protection policies

  • Perform access reviews to ensure the security of our systems and data

  • Assist end users with technical issues and provide support as needed

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and documentation related to system administration

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise

  • Work closely with the rest of the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure

Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following.

 

  • Expert level experience with Microsoft 365 (M365)

  • Experience working in a bank or other financial services organization

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and handle a wide range of tasks, from configuring laptops to assisting end users to creating and implementing endpoint protection policies

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, AND 3 years experience working in computer systems administration in a Windows environment in financial services or other highly regulated industry. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, candidates must have a minimum of 7 years related experience in computer systems administration in a Windows environment in financial services or other highly regulated industry.

Language Ability

Read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries. Make persuasive presentations on complex topics to management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Reasoning Ability

Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Computer Skills

  • M365/O365 Administration

  • Google Workspace Administration

  • Windows OS

  • Office Productivity Suites

This is a remote/hybrid position. Candidates must be willing to come into an office located in Suffolk County, NY 2-3 times a week.
