Battle Bank, N.A. is seeking a Compliance Analyst to support the administration and continuous improvement of Battle’s anti-money laundering and compliance program. This role supports key BSA/AML activities, including regulatory reporting, suspicious activity review and escalation, enhanced due diligence, sanctions investigations, SAR preparation, policy maintenance, training coordination, compliance testing, audit support, and financial crimes process improvement. The Compliance Analyst will partner across business units to identify, manage, and mitigate compliance risk while promoting compliant operations and risk awareness. The Compliance Analyst will report directly to the Head of BSA and Compliance and be a member of the Compliance team. This is a full-time position, with a pay range of $75,200 – $85,400 depending on experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
- Works independently under limited supervision to execute AML and compliance responsibilities, exercising a high level of decision making to resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur.
- Assist with monitoring compliance with consumer protection regulations and other applicable banking regulations.
- Perform enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews for high-risk customers, including cash-intensive businesses, foreign customers, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and other elevated-risk relationships; document findings, update customer profiles, and escalate exceptions for review.
- Prepares and files required FinCEN/BSA reports, including Currency Transaction Reports, suspicious activity reports, as necessary in a timely manner.
- Reviews, evaluates, investigates, and documents suspicious activity or transactions and escalates matters for reporting or further review where appropriate.
- Adjudicate transaction monitoring alerts – clear, escalate, or document false positives, document rationale; track patterns.
- Identify potential monitoring rule enhancements, threshold adjustments, and typology gaps based on investigative findings and emerging risks.
- Review sanctions screening, watchlist alerts and potential OFAC matches, documenting investigative findings and escalating confirmed or potential matches in accordance with established procedures.
- Supports adherence to Battle’s AML Customer Identification Program and Know Your Customer due diligence protocols in partnership with relevant business units.
- Assist with maintaining effective Compliance training including introductory training for new employees and annual training.
- Assist with internal compliance testing to assess regulatory adherence
- Prepares written reports, summaries, and communications regarding AML activity, emerging issues, and compliance matters for management and staff.
- Assists in identifying, monitoring, and reporting on other compliance responsibilities as assigned.
- Assess risk based due diligence models for individuals and business entities
- Maintain accurate documentation for audit and regulatory review
- Support internal and external audits as required.

Education/Experience: 3-5 years of BSA/AML or regulatory compliance experience within a bank, fintech, credit union or other regulated financial institution with a clear track record of owning cases, not just reviewing colleagues’ work.

- Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring platforms and rule tuning, BONUS if more specifically experience with FCRM
Language Ability: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Articulate and effectively relay information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and external vendors.
Mathematical Ability: Competent in mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, incorporating whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Accurately compute rates, rations, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with AML monitoring platform.
