Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Battle Bank for?

Battle Bank is for non-conforming individuals that seek banking services and financial products beyond what the traditional ‘on the corner’ branch has to offer.

What makes Battle Bank different from other banks?

Bottom line – we believe clients deserve intuitive banking, high yields, access to global markets, and premium services.

When you make a checking or savings deposit at Battle Bank, you will receive a market-leading rate of interest, along with top-of-the-line features and professional service. You’ll have the ability to diversify into 18+ currencies from around the world in an FDIC-insured deposit, and purchase and store non-FDIC insured precious metals.  You will also have the ability to use those precious metals as collateral for loans to access liquidity. Instead of being confined to mutual funds and stock in your IRA, you should be able to use these savings to invest in real estate, private equity, and other eligible assets.

Will Battle Bank  be chartered and regulated in the US?

Battle Financial, Inc., the prospective parent company of Battle Bank, N.A., received conditional approval for a bank charter from the OCC on October 7th, 2022. This means that the Battle Bank, N.A., business plan has been approved by the OCC and we may proceed with the organization of the Bank.

Battle Bank has also applied for federal deposit insurance from the FDIC, and that application is pending. Finally, prior to completion of the organization of the bank, Battle Financial, Inc. will apply for approval of the Federal Reserve to become a bank holding company.

When will Battle Bank receive full, official charter status?

We expect full launch and charter the second half of 2023.

Do you plan on having physical branches anywhere?

Our belief is that in this day and age of online and mobile banking, a digital-only bank can maintain a cost of capital that is well below those of branch banks, community banks, and credit unions. Therefore, we do not intend to have any physical branches although we will have centralized centers offering superior client services.

Will you accept non-US citizens?

We are fortunate to have received interest from people all across the globe who are looking to make the move to Battle Bank. While we appreciate the individuals who have reached out to us indicating their interest, banking and privacy regulations are quite different from country to country, which makes accepting non-U.S. citizens living outside of the U.S. difficult.  Our objective is to accept U.S. and Canadian citizens at launch while looking to expand to other countries on an as-needed basis. We ask that you be patient with us as we navigate the ins and outs of the banking regulations beyond the U.S. and Canada.
